FAQ

Got a question about this SOUP thing?

How exactly does it work?

Come along and pay FOUR pounds entry and, if you can, bring some food to share to go with a bowl of soup and bread that we will supply. FOUR projects will each give a FOUR minute pitch for a community project. The audience will get to ask up to FOUR questions and then will have time to chat and reflect. The audience will then vote for the project they liked the best. The winner gets all the ticket money to go towards their project.

Can I donate more money?

Yes of course. FOUR pounds is simply the minimum amount. All the money goes directly to the winner; other costs with the event are covered by local business donations.

Can I bring my family?

Everyone is welcome. Half price for under 12s and free for under 2s. Everyone gets a vote.

What is there to eat?

There'll be soup and bread, provided by local businesses and organisations. In addition, we encourage people to bring along food to share.

How do I submit an idea?

Check out the date of our next event, go to our submit page and read through the guidelines before submitting your idea. A small group of us will look through the proposals and select a total of FOUR projects to pitch at the event. We will be in touch very soon!

What does pitching involve?

You simply make a FOUR minute pitch about your idea at the event. We'll provide you with some training to help you improve your pitch. We like to keep pitches simple; no technology, no computers, just you and your idea.

How can I get involved?

Send us a message through our contact page - we're always looking for people to volunteer and help out. Let us know what time and skills you have to share.
